World Cleanup Day Estonia (Maailmakoristuspäev Eestis) is Estonia’s local event and also organisation, which carries out the important role of gathering thousands of Estonians in a joint global civic mission by cleaning our forests, beaches, cities and homes. The World Cleanup Day movement started in Estonia in 2008 when 50 000 people came out to clean up Estonia from mismanaged waste.
Us, Estonians take pride in our beautiful and unique surroundings. With our campaigns we wish to emphasise the importance of individual responsibility and hence, education.
Since 2019, our focus has been on the younger generation. Each year hundreds of schools and kinder-gartens participate.
